Tails of a Tale Wagging Troublemaker - Remembering Snoopy
Meet Snoopy, our pint-sized rescue dog who crash-landed into our lives straight from a little town in Andalucía. His previous owner, a lovely lady who’d fallen ill, simply couldn’t bear to say goodbye to him. Our friend who lived in the mountains begged us to rescue the poor little doggy.
Cue the daily bombardment of dog emojis, cute photos, and pleading texts: “He’s tiny! He loves kids! Look at that face!” We lasted about a week before caving. “Fine,” we said. “How much trouble can one small dog be?” (Spoiler: a lot. The best kind.)

A few days later, Clyde, our friend, heroically drove all the way to Andalucía and delivered Snoopy to our door—just in time for one of the kids’ birthdays. Talk about perfect timing for a furry surprise! The moment he arrived, this Jack Russell–Chihuahua cross (think big personality in a tiny body) bounced in like he’d been waiting for us his whole life. Tail wagging like a helicopter blade, zooming around, sniffing everything, and instantly winning hearts with his hilarious little quirks.
Snoopy isn’t with us anymore—he left a massive hole in our hearts when he passed away—but his spirit is still very much alive in the ridiculous, joyful chaos he brought to our family. He wasn’t just a dog; he was a dog on a mission—an accidental adventurer, a chaos coordinator, and a professional maker-of-memories. His exploits still have us crying with laughter years later, and I can’t keep them to myself any longer. So buckle up—these are the true(ish) tales of Snoopy that will almost certainly make you giggle, snort, or at the very least smile like an idiot at your screen… and maybe shed a happy-sad tear too.
